Need a Little Caffeine Morning Boost

If you need that coffee in the morning to get started, you e your own kitchen to prepare it, or you can head to any of the nearby restaurants to pick one up. From T-Town Cafe and the iconic Rama Jama’s to fast food joints like Jack’s and Schlotzky’s, there’s is plenty of coffee to be found from local restaurants in the area. For a gourmet brew, you can go down to UPerk and get all the caffeine you’ll need for your day. Virtually every block in the area has a restaurant on it, so there is plenty to choose from for your morning coffee and perhaps a breakfast on the go. Plenty of restaurants are within walking and biking distance of the community, making it easy to head out and pick up the coffee of your choice any day you choose.

So Many Ways to Commute

Walking to class isn’t always the easiest way to get there, but it’s always possible for you when you live so close to campus. If you prefer to bike, there is plenty of room for your bicycle, and it’s a quick ride to campus. If you prefer to have a vehicle, park it at your new home with no problem and drive anywhere you need to go. If none of those options are what you’re looking for, there’s always the campus shuttle. There’s a stop just outside our community, so you can jump on a shuttle any time it comes around.

Learning From Home Today?

Today, you don’t have to be in class to continue your education. Plenty of classes have some or all of their classes online. With our high-speed internet and free WiFi in the clubhouse, you’re ready to keep learning from home. Use the business center to print out reports, to create documents and take care of other much-needed business.

Post-Study Fitness Time

Once you’re finished studying, it’s always nice to get in some physical exercise. The fitness center is open around the clock, so you can work out whenever your studying is over for the day. Or, you can go for a swim in one of the community’s pools. Take a walk around the community to take in fresh air, or start up a game of sand volleyball right here at home. You don’t have to leave the community to get in plenty of cardio and weight training with our facilities.

Dinner and Leisure

Restaurants are everywhere in Tuscaloosa, and this neighborhood is no different. If you’re a beer aficionado, our own Druid City Brewing Company is a fun pub to eat, drink and have fun with friends. If it’s pizza you’re craving, Little Caesar’s, Domino’s and Pizza Hut are all located within blocks of each other. You can head out for a night out or have one of these many restaurants deliver so you can stay in and entertain.

Don't Forget Football Season!

Every fall, the biggest thing in Tuscaloosa, as well as the rest of Alabama, is that traditional Bama football. With this community’s proximity to Bryant-Denny Stadium, it will be easy to walk there for each of the home games. You’ll need to book your student tickets as soon as you can, so find out when they go on sale and get yours reserved. No one wants to miss those home games!

Go Shopping Nearby

One of the things people love about Tuscaloosa is it’s many small, locally owned businesses. Small boutiques are around every corner, including Lucca, Bama Witness Wear, Duke’s Clothier and Thrifty Charm Boutique. At these shops you’ll find everything from full-on fan gear to custom-fitted hats. If you want to make an afternoon of your shopping, head to the nearby University Mall. It’s close by and has Belk and JC Penney as its anchor stores. You can get gifts, have a meal and hang with friends all in one place.

When you’re living off-campus, you have far more freedom to explore and to spend your days exploring on your own. You can find out more about your likes and dislikes and discover the restaurants and shops that you like best. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about yourself as you learn more about the city of Tuscaloosa. You’ll be able to explore life without getting too far off the beaten path.
